Gyro Stabilization System

Inside a vacuum encapsulation, a flywheel spins at speeds of up to 9,700 rpm. When the boat rolls, the gyro tilts fore and aft (precesses), producing a powerful gyroscopic torque to port and starboard that counteracts the boat roll.

The Seakeeper gyro stabilization system features as following:

  1. – Whether the yacht is moored or sailing, it can effectively eliminate shaking
  2. – There is no need to penetrate the hull to install the gyro stabilizer; because there is no external attachment, the hydrodynamic resistance encountered is also small, and it can be installed off the center line if necessary
  3. – The stabilizer is small in size, can realize various flexible installation schemes, and consumes very little power;

The system has another advantage: it can be installed anywhere on the yacht according to design needs, even after the yacht is built.
